MOBILE SURGICAL C-ARM

Spectrum Logic offers standard products for mobile surgical C-arms and mini C-arms and also has experience of developing custom detectors for surgery in mobile C-arms and robotic surgical systems.  Modern surgical C-arms offer 3D CT scanning and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) as well as traditional low dose fluoroscopy. These advanced applications are enabled by CMOS X-ray detectors, which are also the best available technology for low dose fluoroscopy. CMOS X-ray detectors provide significant advantages in surgery over other medical detector technologies for both patients and surgeons. In low dose fluoroscopy, for example, CMOS offers the a combination of lower noise and higher image quality than that offered by amorphous silicon or IGZO detectors. Also, the small 100um pixels of Spectrum Logic detectors provide high resolution in mag modes without sacrificing frame rate or image quality. The lower dose is a benefit to patients and operators during interventional radiography procedures and surgery.
